In the initial round, a level 5 Dark Elf Lord will emerge flanked by two Nightmares - dodge the charge attacks from the Dark Elf before focusing either your ranged axe or Atreus’ bow on the Nightmares, then turn back to the Dark Elf. In this trial, a large tough enemy will appear that is invulnerable to damage, and will only become vulnerable when other weaker enemies that appear are defeated first. Reward: Smoldering Ember, Crest of Flame, and Hacksilver.Challenge: Kill Grunts to Break the Elite’s Shield. When the Shield Revenants show up at the end, let them come to you and have Atreus trip them up or go for their legs to lower their defenses, then follow up with stunning attacks to take them out of the game - but don’t get sidelined by their friends. When the Heavy Draugr appear by the cliff - rush them and hit them with a charging shield bash or kick to send them flying off the cliffs for easy kills. Swap to bare-handed attacks whenever possible, as well as Atreus’ Light Arrows and build up your stun meter on enemies to instantly finish them off regardless of their regenerating health. It will usually take a lot of consistent punishment and well-coordinated strikes to damage though their health regen, so instead focus on the great equalizer: Stun Damage. In this fight, you’ll be attacked by all sorts of enemies ranging from Seidr Reavers, Ice Reavers, Draugr, and Wolves from level 3-4 - all of which will almost instantly regain health lost. Challenge: Enemies Regenerate Health Quickly. If you do get overwhelmed, use heavy runic attacks to clear a path and get to safety where you can fight defensively until you can reach more health crystals. You’ll want to make sure you don’t get blindsided - especially by the wolves and Speed Draugr, so put yourself in a corner that lets you take on all comers, like by the cliff where the ranged Shadows spawn to take them out fast whenever they appear. It’s a stamina gauntlet, so attack carefully but don’t get too reckless, and make use of the health crystals that drop from enemies to top yourself off.

This trial will pit you against unending waves of Siedr Reavers, Shadows, Poison Wolves, and Speed Draugr that range from level 3-5. Focus on the Tatzelwurms first and freeze them to keep them from burrowing away while you’re trying to kill everyone at once.

Try to get them bunched up and hit all targets with big Runic Attacks, and have Atreus stun those that hang back. The final wave is two Tatzelwurms and two Wolves - all of which can die fast but attack viciously, giving you more room to accidentally kill an enemy too quickly. Make sure its health is low enough that you’ll be able to kill it after riding it around, then have Atreus unload on the Revenant the moment you get off the Ogre. Then turn your attention on the Ogre and rack up stun damage to get up top. Be sure to rush the Revenant first and have Atreus stun the foe while you rack up damage until it is low on health. The second wave consists of an Ogre and Revenant - two enemies that are very different in fighting styles. When all foes are nearly dead, kill one, and rush the others while having Atreus rack up damage with several command shots. To do this, pick a target and keep hitting them until their health drops low, then quickly swap to another foe. What makes this challenge much harder is that you’ll need to land a killing blow on all three enemies within a certain amount of time or the others will resurrect. These Draugr are tougher than the last, consisting of fire-enhanced Speed Draugr, Heavy Draugr, and Ranged Draugr that range in level 3-4.
